Critical Reaction- Cause and Consequence

I was surprised to learn that there is a vast number of explanations for the cause of the American Revolution. Historians have been able to identify so many different reasons because this Revolution was complex. Many issues were building up and some of the colonial people were ready to make a serious change, hence the American Revolution took place. The Declaration of Independence was just one source that provided professionally documented information on some of the things that lead up to the American Revolutionary war. This war raged on for seven years, it was not a simple matter to resolve.

Historians must study the causes (circumstances, beliefs, and actions) that lead up to an event to get a better understanding of the consequences that followed. Consequences do not happen without a cause. Causes are like pieces of a large puzzle and this is why it is important to analyze them, they also continue to shape our institutions and ideologies today.
